Celebrating Toniyah and Dave A Laid Back Love Story Filled with Laughter and Real Moment

There are certain weddings that stay with you long after you pack up your camera and head home. This one was definitely one of them. When someone you have known since high school calls and asks you to photograph their wedding it hits differently. There is a sense of pride excitement and a little bit of disbelief at how fast life moves.

I have known Toniyah for over fifteen years. Back in high school she was always the silly one the one who could have the whole room laughing without even trying. So seeing her step into this moment as a bride was surreal in the best possible way. It is wild watching the goofy friend you grew up with turn into this beautiful grown woman ready to start a whole new chapter.

I showed up early because I wanted to get familiar with the space and settle my nerves. Even after all the weddings I have shot it still feels different when it is someone you genuinely care about. I walked around looked at the light checked the angles and let myself get comfortable before everything started.

The ceremony itself was small and intimate with the people who mattered most to them. Her dad her sisters close family close friends. It was one of those rooms that felt full even though the guest list was tiny. And in true Toniyah fashion she had everyone laughing the entire time. Her personality filled the room and kept the energy light and joyful.

Then there was Dave. When he read his vows you could feel how real everything was. His voice cracked a little and the whole room softened with him. It was one of those moments that reminds you why weddings matter. Not the decor not the big production. Just pure genuine emotion.

The photos from the day came out beautiful. You can see the warmth the laughter the little glances the realness of it all. It was a day built on connection and it truly shows in every shot. Photographing this wedding reminded me why I love what I do. It is not just about taking pictures. It is about capturing life as it happens.

Being able to document this day for someone I have known for so long meant a lot to me. It was personal. It was emotional. It was full of joy. And it will always be one of those weddings I look back on with a smile.
